MySpace gives in to Photobucket

In good Web 2.0 news, MySpace and Photobucket decide to get along a little better and try to make it so that MySpace users can once again link to Photobucket Videos. Forbes Reports:

But none of those details matters now. What does matter is that MySpace attempted to push Photobucket around, and then gave up. And it didn’t even try that hard: It blocked Photobucket’s videos, which are a non-factor right now. If it really wanted to push it would have stopped Photobucket users from putting their still images on MySpace. But that would have riled up its own users. Source: Forbes

So as the territoriality of Web 2.0, those things that can be shared and those things that can not be shared either through a terms of service, or copyright, or other moniker on how data is transcribed from site to site, or shared from site to site was altered in the MySpace Photobucket deal to make nice. Lets hope this has a lasting impact on other major Web 2.0 players and other copyright holders.
