While the Apple Ipod ecosystem continues to increase, some savvy folks in Britain have developed the IGasm system that is a dildo that attaches to your Ipod and basically keeps a beat in time with the music. What more could anyone ask for? Of course though this kind of thing is going to make Apple a bit twitchy about it, which is exactly what is happening.
The device, which vibrates in sync with any music source, is sold by adult retailer Ann Summers for £30 ($60). The matt-white “love egg” has been on the market at least since January. Apple’s objection seems to be to the poster campaign. Source: Blogs Business 2
None the less, this seems like a toy that will have some take up and adoption in the longer run. There has always been a strong link between technology and personal happiness. This just adds an additional avenue for people, and combined with streaming media and teledilionics could also be an addition to couples who spend an excessive time apart.
This has user participation all over it, meaning that if they could figure out a widget for this one, it would make an awesome web 2.0 gift for people who are slow on the uptake of new technology. Who knows, but this wins our humor of the day award.
