Apple IPod Touch best player ever
The lucky few folks that have gotten there hands on the Apple IPod Touch are coming back with gushing reviews of the new media player, meaning we wanted one, now we really want one. While we do not have our hands on one, we will be in line on the 28th to get one, and then we will actually get to write our own review of the whole thing.
In the mean time the buzz machines keeps on ticking over, and more and more people are writing that this is the must have toy for the season. Merry Apple Holidays everyone.
PC Magazine, has given the IPod Touch a 5/5 score and their Editor’s Choice award. High praise even from a definitely non-Apple source. Tom Gideon calls it “a thing of beauty,” and says it’s the best iPod ever. Well, no duh. Source: TUAW
People are starting to find out little things that they don’t like, like 16 Gigs of memory, and yes if you are a hard core music person with every song you ever listened to on a computer somewhere, then yes this might be limiting. As well as some color rendering on the models that are in peoples hands. Others are also finding twitchy things like Bluetooth off, lack of Mac OSX, and other bits and bobs, we don’t know if this will hold true in the final production model that hits the streets on the 28th, or if some of the beta check it out systems were shipped with issues.
The early folks though, like Engadget, Gizmodo, PC Magazine, ILounge and others (opens Google blog search) overall though are quite impressed with the new IPod. The memory limitation is something that is only going to hit someone with more than 16 gigs of music, we are not sure if that is a majority or not, and as TUAW states, if you have more, then go for the classic 160 Gig model.
We will still be waiting in line on the 28th of September, taking the camera, while the buzz has not built to an overload crescendo like it did with the Iphone, we still think there might be a line, Apple still has some 14 days to really get the hype machine going.
