Apple going bad

Many folks are asking in the blogosphere if apple has reached the end times, the part of a companies life where they make the decision money or customers. This happens everywhere and not to be all that surprised by, but Ilounge asks the question “Is Apple Going Bad” and comes up with some really convincing arguments on why Apple is turning into the next Microsoft. ZDNet wrote about this same issue here.

With apple and its faulty touch screens on Ipod, and while we really want one (still waiting on the 28th when they show up here in Seattle), the enthusiasm is wearing off a bit as more and more information comes out on just how faulty they are.

Then there is the major hue and cry from just about everyone on the 200 dollar price drop on the Iphone, as well as their gear in relationship to the Wintel alliance pricing is just out of reach. While it is sexy cool to have an Apple, anything over 3000 dollars is a bit pricey.

There has been a lot of angst on this issue, and while Steve Jobs is pretty boffo, cracks in the illusion are showing up everywhere, from the NBC Spat, to ring tones, the list of issues that people are whining about it getting to be pretty amazing.

The level of whining is impressive.

Apple is not addressing them in a tangible manner that makes people happy. There have been attempts, like with the 100 dollar credit that still leaves apple 100 dollars ahead on the Iphone. But with games, media, ring tones, prices, it all just adds up to a company that is not addressing issues in such a way that people can rally behind the company and call it a momentary bump in the road.
