Christopher Vaughn Prosecutors seek the death penalty
This is the 3rd update to our ex boss who has been accused of murdering his family in Oswego Illinois, and last week the prosecutors in the case have decided that they will seek the death penalty for what he is being charged with. Namely killing his entire family on a service road.

What is interesting and good is that the state prosecutor took their time in making the decision, and while it will be a while before he goes to court, this story is going to be a long player with occasional updates until he actually makes it into court.
The other interesting bit is that people are not coming out of the wood work on this one to give their opinion on the issue. No statements from friends, family, or others to really work with outside of disjointed and random information. In a case of this seriousness, we would assume that more people would be talking, either for or against, and that is just not happening here.
Will follow up as we learn more.

From an outside observer who googles around almost daily for any breaking information on this sad story, I thank you for reporting in from the sidelines as an ex-employee/co-worker. Like you I am most mystified by the silence from co-workers at his other and most current jobs, and anyone else who even knew/knows the guy. What seems to be a “gag order” on anyone who has a shred of information or even a clue is starting to look to me like a whole other mysterious story. There’s not even anything to be found in the way of gossip or tidbits from somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who was in the same jail! Or at least if there is, I can’t find it. But thanks for your input.
I, too, check the web daily for any news. I worked with Chris way back when he and Kimberly were newly married and the girls were very young - toddler and baby. He did have a bit of a temper but we just figured he was the type who knew his way was the right way. He could also be a bit off the wall. On the company website we all had our pix and job titles listed. He put the sketch of the Unibomber up for his pic. There were other things that happened at work that, looking back, I wonder if he didn’t have some hand in. He also had a ten year plan that he talked about. Don’t remember all the details, but he wanted to be able to retire by 35. Kim had two little ones and no car (he said she didn’t need one and they were saving money) and she never seemed to me to be the jovial person I have read about. I just put it off to her being shy or perhaps just plain pooped from taking care of 2 little ones all the time, as Chris did work a lot. But, he also did show a very loving and caring side to his little girls.
So, I wonder if his plan fell apart and he couldn’t deal with it or if his temper got the better of him. Or maybe he just went off the deep end. I don’t really know if I want to know all the details. I’m afraid it’s going to be quite gruesome.
