Seattle Startups Blogging List

If you own a blog that covers Seattle startups, then you need to hook up with Marcelo Calbucci over at Sampasite.com and get yourself listed. There are not many people on the list who take a look at Seattle startups and how they work, or don’t work. In all though, getting on Marcelo’s list is a great way of getting local, and letting some of the more media savvy startups in Seattle know you exist.

While many startups are heads down, and do not really understand the power of blogging, there are some startups that do. If they know you exist, they will ask you to write about their technology, or their company, and put the Seattle Spin on it. Marcelo is looking specifically for:

• Startup blog: A blog of a Tech startup — Startup being defined with the same way we define it for the Seattle 2.0 list: Seattle-based, Technology company and less than 5 years old.
• Founders/Entrepreneurs: One of the founders (or executives) of the Startup above. Your startup must be on the Seattle 2.0 Startup list.
• Reporters/Press: That covers Tech Startups
• VCs & Investors: That invest in Tech Startups
• Organizations: That help tech Startups
• Marketing, Legal & Consultants: That provide services to Tech Startups.
• Others: Any other resources for Tech Startups (like this blog)
A few other criteria to be on the blog list:

• The blog author/writer must be a resident of Puget Sound
• The content of the blog must be primarily focused on Tech Startups (e.g. a food blog written by an entrepreneur doesn’t qualify)
• The Blog must be a blog! In other words, no press-release-only syndication or automated content generated.
• The blog must not be stale

So pay attention to the things that he is looking for. The current list of bloggers and news sources can be found here. In all, if you blog the Seattle startup scene, and you want to cover what is happening in town, then this is one list to become aware of.
