Yesterday Michael Arrington pushed out a rant that while amusing, was more self serving than anything else, technically if someone is going to offer you money for something you are doing, you would have to be insane not to take it. We covered the post yesterday saying “if people give you money to do something you love to do like blog, you would have to be an idiot not to take it”.

Fortunately while we were more pragmatic about the whole thing, comes along Kara Swisher with a fall down laughing approach to decoding Arrington’s rant from yesterday.

Translation: And if that elfin Jason Calacanis can score, where’s MY pay-off!?! I mean, I am the Jason Calacanis of Web 2.0, aren’t I!? The Mac Daddy of the widget economy! The Sultan of Zing! Thank you after reading the Valleywag screw up this morning, this was well worth the laugh, and something that everyone who is tired of the A-List competitive streak. It is bad enough we all say the same thing, but you have to have a sense of humor about all this in the longer run. Otherwise, it is heart attacks all around and there have been far too many of those lately.

Didn’t any tell any of these folks about the A Type personality, and sudden early onset of medical issues?
