Error code 500 is not a normal IIS operation
I host with a great company, and for two years they have been a great company, I was happy.
Lately though, they crossed over to IIS and Zend, and since then the performance on all my sites, those that are experimental, those that are more in line with doing research than actually being a site, and those sites I lavish my time on have all started showing that annoying Fast CGI error, unable to process the request.
Realistically, this is not a normal error code, and after months of this one showing up, performance issues, complaints, and working through their help desk, frankly, IIS and PHP just does not cut it as a working or workable platform for WordPress.
It is time to move. Need to find a new hosting company.
If anyone knows of a good hosting company, running on a more PHP friendly platform let me now, this is a big blog with over 1100 entries, needs a functional upgrade, and realistically, this is going to be some large amount of work to move from point A to point B. But at this point, the pain of having a non-functioning web site is more pain that it will take to move this site.
Let me know if there is a good hosting company out there, willing to check them out.
