While we are all hanging out on friend feed, sometimes you just want to drop a private note to someone on the list and ask a question or otherwise do something. Forums have the PM function, meaning I can ping someone and drop them a quick private note person to person without leaving the application, or otherwise having to hunt down an email address or otherwise.

I could have used that function today.

And while we are on the subject of Friend Feed, and following people, here are some of the more off beat people that you can find on friend feed, that are also really cool. No one here in a top ten list, no one here an A or even B list blogger, just some good solid bloggers or people who might also be interesting to follow along.

Cordivia – She states on Bright Kite that - I’m the author of social media blog SheGeeks.net, ReadWriteWeb writer, community manager, and all around awesomesauce young woman! And yes, she is an all around cool person, and her work on RWW has been really cool.

Eric from CS TechCast – From their web site they state: CS TechCast is a technology podcast released every Monday that is hosted by Eric Johnson, Eric Beehler, Josh Jones, and Dana Warren; we are authors, IT professionals, and avid contributors to the IT community at large. Listen every week.

Marcelo Calbucci – probably singlehandedly is the hardest working person in Seattle Startup Biz, runs Sampa, Seattle 2.0, and a host of other good things that helps unite and keep united the Seattle startup community. Just plain awesome.

Nice Fish Films – Michael Sean Wright – Another all around awesome place to visit, music, video, convergence.

Paul Buchheit - he even has his own wikipedia page.

The last one, the most important one is you, those who use friend feed, you are the ones who make the system work, and you are the ones who should be on everyone’s list. It is not something unusual, it is just without the people, FF and other systems would not really mean much to anyone. It is the whole community that makes this interesting, so in a frenzy of linking and cross linking, that is what is important, and that is what all of us should be doing.
