Much like the Dell Idea Storm, Google has come up with its own version of Google Product Ideas, unfortunately they are only interested in Google Mobile ideas right now, when there are so many other things to comment on across the Google product line.
Good start, but everyone who comes in contact with Google products, from e-mail to webmaster tools to chrome to adwords is going to have an idea. Either to make it easier, more responsive, or more applicable to the things they want to do with it. Good start, but the focus on just one product, Google Mobile puts this great way to share information with consumers, focused on only one product. It would be great to see Google start working on expanding this into all their other products. This would probably be the biggest hit since idea storm.
It is a nice start, but more interested in seeing how this will be expanded, and then incorporated into their products. While some ideas might take years to integrate, and all ideas are going to be the property of Google, you never know, there is something cool about having a shout out from Google that might make someone’s day, if not onto their resume.

Google has experimented with this in Knol since it launched. A user started collecting feature requests on a knol: http://knol.google.com/k/julian/knol-feature-requests/3kmjoa0hcpphn/9 and the Google engineers began taking those suggestions into their product plan, then reporting back on the progress in that knol. Seems to have worked pretty well for them because people are still actively suggesting new features.
