Podango hits the dead pool

Listeners in the Podango BoothImage by CC Chapman via FlickrPodango an all you can eat free podcast hosting company has hit the dead pool, even though they call it hibernation. Right now people who had podcasts on their system can no longer get to them. I now need to find almost three years worth of my podcasts as their shutdown has locked out my students, and my own personal podcasts.

Unfortunately this also leaves a large number of people without podcast support, so if anyone knows a good podcast host that is all you can eat and free, or a good post casting delivery software system that is free that I can ramp up quickly to bring myself back up on line that would be great. Open to just about any solution, next stop source forge.

Podango was a great service, their shutdown means that finding a free all you can eat podcasting host just became that much harder. This is a rough business, and it is hard to find podcast hosting companies that are all you can and offer a free service. Podango was one of the better ones in the industry, and delivered an excellent service.

They are saying that they are going to restructure and come back, but usually when they hit this level of shut down where people no longer has access to their stuff, they are more of a zombie company, and coming back to life is going to be very difficult.
