Chris Pirillo has put up Seattle Social Central as a hyper local twitter like system for local users to use and comment back and forth with each other over things that would otherwise get drowned out in the hundreds of thousands of messages posted to twitter each day. You want to go check this out.

Fresh out of beta and standing on its own, a local twitter like system hit the wires this weekend that is well worth checking out and using to keep in touch with local folks about the things that matter. The cool part is that you can also tie this into your twitter account so that anything you post to Seattle Social Central also shows up on Twitter, which will drive local traffic to the web site.

Think of this like the Seattle Technology Startup list but much quicker in response time and totally shiny new built upon the Laconica software.

Worth checking out and making it part of your daily routine, depending on what software support is available, you might also be able to use systems like Tweetdeck and others to link into the system and track it automagically. In the local run, this could end up being a great resource for Seattle technology and other geeky technology or social media folks.
