Rewarding linking blogs and systems

Sometimes people are slow on the uptake, but how do you pay back the folks that link back to you. While link love is always good, sometimes you might want to just go back and do something special for all those folks that link to you.

Hence there is a new techwag policy in place in line with the friendfeed conversation below. For anyone who links here, I’ll pull out the handy stumbleupon tool, and favorite the blog entry that links here. After all that is only fair, you link to me, I’ll show you some stumbleupon link love to go along with that.

Sometimes you have to have things pointed out to you, and while I know I am not popular on digg (everything gets buried there the minute I submit it or vote for it), stumbleupon is a wholly different matter. Usually it means anywhere from 100 to 500 hits for you depending on what you write about. At least that is what my own experiments in stumbleupon show, and what kind of traffic I can drive depending on who you are. Since I stumble tons of stuff in a given day, why the heck not.

Showing a little link love and support for people who link back here is what blogging should be about.

Of course I am going to do a little QC on this one, I won’t stumble scammers, people who try to rip people off, sploggers, or other folks. If you have a great blog, and you link here, that will be how I will work out taking care of folks who link to me.
